What is Estate Planning?

I heard my fair share of witty quips from adults in my family and teachers growing up. Some were more memorable or "stuck with me" more than others. One that has had a lasting impact is the 6P Rule. We've all heard it in some variation; it's "Prior Proper Planning Prevents Poor Performance." This saying has had a lasting impact on me and is a reason why I specialize in Estate Planning. A person's legacy is created throughout one's lifetime, and a carefully crafted estate plan is integral to ensuring your legacy endures after your life ends. Personal experience taught me that proper planning could prevent upheaval from a loved one passing away.

Remember P.L.S.: PEACE. LEGACY. SMART.

Here are three reasons why you need to create your estate plan today.

What is Estate Planning? The process of designating who will handle your estate as the personal representative and who will receive your possessions and assets after death or if you become incapacitated.

An Estate Plan gives you PEACE of mind for that inevitable day when our life here comes to an end. While we do not know the time or date our eyes close for the last time, you can be at peace knowing that you have a plan in place for your family. This process also allows you to create an estate plan by asking yourself hard questions about what happens if you become incapacitated and need care. You can find peace knowing that you have planned for your children and family. Planning gives peace while navigating life's unthinkable curveballs.

Creating an Estate Plan memorializes your LEGACY. A legacy is created with intention and purpose. As the name of my firm suggests, helping others create and ensure their legacy is vital to ensuring your assets create wealth for your posterity. When we strategize your plan together, I assist you in figuring out your legacy so your estate plan reflects your vision.

Creating your estate plan is a SMART investment. If there were ever any skepticism about Forest Gump's famous phrase, "Life is like a box of chocolates, you never know what you are going to get," the last two years have succinctly dispelled them. We've seen unimaginable changes in our daily lives, our country, and the world. Creating a plan is a smart investment in making sure that your loved ones have clear guidance during a time of loss.

Life is unpredictable, but two things are guaranteed, change and death. I am eager to work together to create your estate plan. Click here to get you scheduled for a FREE 30-minute consultation.
